If There Is No Conflict, There Is No Spiritual Search

Updated: Nov 7, 2024

The True Path of Spiritual Growth: Ending the Inner Conflict

When we embark on a spiritual path, it often begins with a sense of inner conflict—something we feel needs to change or be improved in our lives. However, in today's world, the spiritual journey can sometimes feel more like a "circus"—a whirlwind of experiences, methods, and voices offering their own explanations of reality, often focusing on external phenomena. But what about the internal landscape, the one perceiving and experiencing all of life?

The External Search vs. the Inner Journey

In the vast world of spirituality, many systems and teachings focus on investigating the external world—seeking answers in philosophies, ideologies, and external guidance. While these can offer insights, they often fail to address the true source of our conflict: ourselves. Most systems fail to ask the crucial question: Who are we really?

The allure of exotic beliefs, intellectual speculation, religions, and even gurus is powerful. After all, as intellectual beings, we often believe that we can grasp life through our ideas and mental frameworks. However, the desire to improve ourselves—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—stems from a thought: a belief that we need to fix or change something within us.

The Paradox of Seeking Change Through Thought

Here lies the paradox: the inner conflict that drives our search for change is born from thought itself. If our desire for improvement is rooted in thought, how can thought offer the solution? The mind, in its constant search for answers, creates problems and limitations, which it then attempts to solve in ways that only deepen the conflict.

Life is meant to be lived, not dissected or understood through endless analysis. The constant search for external solutions—be it in methods, practices, or gurus—can lead us down an endless path of incompleteness. We may constantly feel that something is missing, always searching for more without ever arriving at true peace.

The Path to End the Conflict: Focus on the Self

The real transformation comes when we turn our attention inward, focusing not on external solutions, but on the source of our experienceourselves. True spiritual growth isn’t about acquiring new knowledge or practices; it’s about optimizing ourselves at every level—physical, emotional, mental, and energetic.

In this process, we come to the realization that the conflict—created by the mind—can only end when we stop seeking to change ourselves externally and start aligning our thoughts, feelings, and actions. Harmony comes from within when we stop separating these aspects of our being.

A Life Free from Inner Conflict

When we reach a point where there is no conflict between what we think, feel, and do, we experience a natural end to the spiritual path. There is no longer anything that needs to be changed. This is not an end in the sense of giving up growth or self-discovery, but a profound shift in perception: we stop seeing ourselves as incomplete or broken and start living from a place of wholeness.

This doesn't mean abandoning spiritual practices or personal growth—it simply means that we approach them from a place of authenticity and alignment. It’s about ceasing the cycle of self-improvement driven by the idea of inadequacy.

Living Beyond Spiritual Ideas

When we let go of the constant search for external solutions, we enter into a life of deeper alignment, clarity, and purpose. The spiritual game made of intellectual ideas and false conclusions ceases to be relevant. Instead, we become aligned with our true nature, experiencing life as it is meant to be lived—not through analysis, but through presence and authenticity.
