What is Meditation? a simple explanation to a complex question...



Meditation is a complex topic because we try to grab its meaning intellectually. We all wrongly use the expression "I am going to meditate". However, meditation is a state of consciousness that refers to a particular psychological and physical state, that happens naturally. It cannot be forced. It is not something that we cannot decide to do or not to do.


I can do some exercises that can help to facilitate that state, that might happen or not. However, they have nothing to do with their real meaning, which transcends any practice, belief, or idea of doing or not doing something. Meditation is a state that goes beyond the mind, its concepts, and activities connected with it.
