Is Nei Qi Gong like the Mo Pai system of John Chang?
Updated: Jul 27
Many people contact me with the silly idea of developing superpowers.
I get contacted by many who are interested in Mo Pai. This is a lineage of teaching coming from John Chang, a teacher from Thailand who passed away a couple of years ago.
There is a documentary of him filmed by the BBC and available on youtube called “The ring of Fire” and also a book, written by one of his students, where I think these superpowers are over exaggerated.
For me it’s not about superpowers. It is about improving my life and expressing my full potential.
If not supported by spiritual growth, developing these high levels of energy and the ability of emitting Qi (Fa Gong), can actually be something quite bad for ourselves.
We might even develop those abilities because certain practices work. If we apply ourselves with dedication and consistency, we will eventually acquire those skills.
However we are missing the chance to develop higher possibilities that belong to the human being. The most important one, I think, is coming to the end of the separation, of the search, of the discomfort that we have as human beings and that is constantly with us.
We don’t have to see the growth only on the energetic aspect. We have to bring that growth in our daily life: in the way we relate with others, in the way our mind and our emotions work.
The Nei Qi Gong system gives us the possibility to work with something practical and not to take refuge in a certain belief or guru, mysterious world or superpower. It helps us to optimize ourselves in the physical, emotional, and mental aspect and live our lives at our highest peak.
Nei Qi Gong is a neutral tool which doesn’t involve external factors. It’s rather a way that allows us to become aware of our unconscious parts, turn them into conscious processes and improve our lives.
